Twin Cedar Mantels

This series of images shows the rustic appeal of a truly unique piece of cedar. Take the time to closely examine each photo and notice the abundant character. The rich, deep red color makes the cedar mantel a favorite.

MAPLE

The color and markings on this Maple Mantel are truly mesmerizing. Pay close attention to the details in these photos. The emerald green stain occurred naturally on this piece.

A Walnut Mantel is the epitome of warmth and tone. The dark, flowing grain along with the trademark chocolate coloring makes this piece truly relaxing.

RED OAK

This is one of my personal favorites. The bark on the front edge really makes this piece unique. The quartersawing really stands out. Notice the grain pattern covering the entire top. This Oak would have a strong presence in any lodge.

WHITE OAK

This mantel lends itself to a more contemporary style with its squared front edge. This effect also displays the beautiful grain pattern.

AMBROSIA MAPLE

The Ambrosia Maple is named for the Ambrosia worm which burrows through the wood, leaving behind a beautiful pattern. These pieces always have an abundance of character. This mantel was recently installed in a new home here in Toccoa.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a Board Foot (bf)?

A board foot, or bf,  is a standard unit of measurement used in the lumber industry.  Board footage can be calculated by multiplying a board's Width (in) x Thickness (in) x Length (ft), then dividing by 12.  For example, a 2"x4" board that is 10 feet long would be calculated as follows:

2" x 4" x 10' = 80
80 /12 = 6.6 board feet (bf)

Therefore, your 10 foot long 2 x 4 would equal 6.6 bf.
